My chair kept sinking to the bottom and as a fairly tall person I got cramped down there. So I was thinking I was going to have to buy a new office chair at a healthy cost. In looking at chairs I saw information regarding these adapters at a reasonable cost which would solve the problem. So I ordered them and in about 10 minutes I had it on the chair and the p;roblem is solved and has remained solved for several weeks now. I would point out that I am older than I would like to admit and not in good health but did not have any problem at all putting this adapter on the chair. Good purchase.Just installed two of these on office chairs whose pneumatic cylinders had just worn out. One chair was still able to attain max height for a minute but would sink down in jolts. The other chair couldn't even do that.The product came well packaged and had the Allen wrench that would be required to install the bolts. The lack of any written instructions was a slight disappointment, but not insurmountable as after a minute or two of observation the assembly is pretty obvious. I would recommend taking a screenshot of the last detail product phot for reference. Overall, very satisfied!This was easily installed in under 5 minutes. No missing parts and no defects. Item worked perfectly. I do recommend.I installed them a few weeks ago and they have been working great!The air cylinder on our home office chairs no longer held up the seat. This was an easy fix and is holding strong. I’m back to buy another for a second chair. Relatively inexpensive fix.Hubby was tired of sinking down while working and i wasnt going to give up my office chair. The options were pillows, a new chair or this. Works perfectly and he hasnt had any issues with it!Put on upside-down and chair kept slipping down. Took off and corrected and no problems. I am 5"3, 240lbs and it works great for me.This is a very well designed clamp that saved my $600 office chair that the gas cylinder could not be removed from. I only needed seat to be at full height and this device works perfectly.This is the answer to those stupid cylinders. I'm a big guy and weigh well over 250 so those chair cylinders rarely last much more than a year. I usually have my chair set at the same height forever so this little gadget does the trick. The seat has not sunk a mm so far and it feels like a good quality product with fairly heavy duty metal and fasteners. Getting a few more for the other chairs. Note: make sure you clean the piston properly with alcohol before attaching the clamp as there probably is oily residue from the seal leaking.I would not have had to buy this clamp, if the piston I bought months earlier worked. The piston was suppose to hold up to 1000lbs. I know that I am over weight, but I am not close to that weight.
